Join our star birder, Star Posada, for a birding trip around Ascarate Park 6900 Delta Drive. (MAP) See various water birds such as the American Wigeon, Common Mergansers, Buffle head, Wood Ducks, Neotropic Cormorants, Eared Grebes and Ring-billed Gulls. There is no longer a $2 entrance fee on weekends into the park. Meet by the bathrooms in the big parking lot which will be to your right as you drive in. Bring plenty of water, and a few snacks. Wear sunscreen. Remember your binoculars.
