Take about an hour round-trip tour of the Magoffin Historic District. See the site of the Mormon refugee camps during the Mexican revolution and the Toltec Club Building where El Paso movers and shakers would meet and where President Theodore Roosevelt and other international dignitaries visited. Go inside of the Federal Courthouse and view Tom Lea’s famous “Pass of the North” mural. Learn Queen Anne and Art Deco styles in architecture. Check out the Triangle Building and the first (really second) First Baptist Church.

Bring water, wear a hat or sunscreen, bring a mask. Hand sanitizer will be available.

This is the last in a series of Thursday “senior strolls” open to all ages but particularly to seniors and to those who may have a health condition that precludes rigorous hiking. Meet in front of the Magoffin Home, 1120 Magoffin. (MAP)
