Cacti and Other Desert Plants of the Franklin Mountains

Hike 1.3 miles along the Agave Loop in the Franklin Mountains State Park and learn about many of the cacti and other succulents of the Franklin Mountains. The trail is steep at some parts, but offers a splendid view. Event leader: EPCC Biologist and co-author of “Cacti of Texas in Their Natural Habitat, Gertrud Konings, Ph.D. Directions to Tom Mays Unit of the Franklin Mountains State Park and Park trail map. There will be a $2 charge for entering the Park - a reduction from $5 as a courtesy to Celebration of Our Mountains.
