Swim and Picnic at Sitting Bull Falls
If you just want to swim in a natural, refreshing pool, picnic and hang-out with friends this Saturday, join the group going to Sitting Bull Falls. See more information on our event page. Check out this video about the Falls, one of the best kept secrets in our desert:
Sitting Bull Falls Recreation Area is an oasis, offering sights, sounds and experiences that surprise many visitors, including the NM True TV Crew. It is day-use-only, but oh what a day it offers. Dramatic waterfalls spill into cool pools, and the surroundings are ideal for a picnic under one of the stone pavilions.
You MUST RSVP to the field trip leader, Michael at 915-497-5883 or michaelrmr505@yahoo.com. If you decide not to go, please let Michael know. There is a $5 per car fee to enter Sitting Bull Falls payable to the Guadalupe Mountains National Park. Free if you have an Access Pass. It’s easy hiking. Dogs are allowed but must remain on a leash. Be at the meet-up location no later than 7AM.
